Plain-language beta policy
Privacy at the Hollow
Families should understand what is collected, why it is needed, and who can see it.
Beta draft · Updated October 17, 2026
What we collect
We collect the parent or guardian’s sign-in identity and invitation email, plus the learner names, selected levels, answers, creative responses, progress, and reports the parent chooses to enter. Children do not create accounts or provide email addresses.
How we use it
We use this information to run adventures, remember progress, create parent reports, improve the beta, and keep each household’s records separate.
Who can see it
Each household can see its own learners and records. Other beta families cannot see them. The founder can see the family roster. Academic reports are shared with the founder only when the parent turns that permission on.
Storage and deletion
Family progress is stored in the site’s private database and may also be cached on the family’s device for recovery. A parent can reset the family record from the protected parent area or request deletion by contacting us.
Children’s privacy
The service is directed to parents and guardians, who set up and supervise learner use. We do not ask children to create public profiles, contact strangers, or provide their own contact information.
